Student and Family Support Office

The Student & Family Support Office (SFSO) is a dedicated team within the St. Clair Catholic District School Board that helps parents/guardians and caregivers navigate complex questions or concerns and connect with the right support as quickly as possible.

Before contacting the SFSO

Most issues are best addressed at the school level. Please start with your child’s classroom teacher or the school office team whenever possible. If more help is needed, follow the pathway below.

Step 1 — Speak with the teacher or school staff member. If unresolved, connect with the principal.

Step 2 — Speak with the principal. If the concern persists, contact the appropriate superintendent.

Step 3 — Contact your area superintendent. If still unresolved, reach out to the Director’s Office/SFSO.

Step 4 — Contact the SFSO. Complete the request form on this page or reach us by phone/email.

What we can help with

If your question or concern needs more follow‑up beyond the school, the SFSO can help review your inquiry and connect you with the right department. Example topics include: curriculum and assessment, special education, student well‑being and safety, facilities/repairs, transportation, and other board‑level matters.

Service standards

  • We aim to acknowledge inquiries within two (2) school days.
  • We aim to provide a full response within five (5) school days or share an estimated timeline if more time is required.

Other ways to connect

When contacting us, please include your name, your child’s name, school, and a brief summary of the concern to help us route your request.
