Believe, Achieve, and Accompany: St. Clair Catholic Unveils 2026–2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan and Fresh Digital Experience

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has released its 2026–2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan, a forward‑looking roadmap shaped by extensive input from students, families, staff, trustees, parish partners, and the wider community.  Developed through surveys and focus groups earlier this school year, the plan reflects a shared vision for the future of Catholic education.

Grounded in the themes Believe, Achieve, and Accompany, the plan is guided by core values including faith in youth, joyful discipleship, respect rooted in love, excellence for all, and accountability.  It identifies three system priorities: A Community of Faith, Excellence in Learning and Achievement, and Inclusion and Well‑Being.

The plan commits to strengthening Catholic identity and social justice initiatives; enhancing student achievement through evidence‑informed practices in literacy, math, and special education; and fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments.  It also emphasizes experiential learning, transferable skills, responsible use of technology, and enhanced mental health supports.

Director of Education Lisa Demers highlighted the importance of the collaborative process.  “This plan truly reflects the voices of our community and will guide student achievement with purpose and faith in the years ahead,” she said.  “We are deeply grateful to our staff, parents, community partners, parishes and most importantly our students, whose insights and experiences helped shape this vision for the future.”

Board Chair John Van Heck emphasized the role of strong governance and partnership in shaping the plan.  “As trustees, our role is to steward the mission of Catholic education with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to the families we serve,” he said.  “This plan reflects strong governance, thoughtful collaboration, and a shared commitment to leading faith‑filled student achievement and well‑being into the future.  We are grateful for the voices that helped shape this direction and for the partnerships that will carry it forward.”

As part of its commitment to strengthened communication and community engagement, the Board will also launch a redesigned Board website and refreshed school websites on April 1, 2026, aligning with the release of the new Strategic Plan.  The updated platforms feature modern design, improved navigation, and a more accessible, user‑friendly experience for students, families, staff, and community partners.

“Our families are going to appreciate how much easier it is to find what they need,” said Amy Park, Associate Director.  “The new sites are cleaner, faster, and built with parents and students in mind.  It’s a major step forward for our whole community.”

Together, these initiatives mark a meaningful step forward as St. Clair Catholic continues to strengthen communication, deepen engagement, and advance a shared vision for student success.
