The Board of Trustees for St. Clair Catholic has approved the sale of the former Georges P. Vanier Catholic School to Conseil scolaire Viamonde for $1.6 million. 

The sale of the property at 20 Cecile Avenue was approved at a Special Meeting of the Board on August 10, 2026. The transaction is scheduled to close on August 24, 2026.

The St. Clair Catholic Education Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its second 50/50 draw of 2026, with proceeds supporting students and enhancing learning opportunities through the continued generosity and support of the school community.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) and St. Clair Catholic District School Board recently came together to highlight their ongoing partnership and shared commitment to keeping schools and the community safe. Through this collaboration, CKPS used the former, vacant Georges P. Vanier school for Immediate Rapid Deployment (IRD) training from July 27-July 31. 

Students are leaving St. Clair Catholic’s summer learning camp with math skills and memories. 

A total of 88 students across Chatham-Kent and Sarnia- Lambton heading into Grade 3 participated in the camp with an emphasis on strengthening numeracy skills.

St. Patrick’s Business Leadership class wrapped up their semester by presenting and reflecting on activities they led during the school's Wellness Week, held May 11–15. The goal of the initiative was to promote and support mental, physical, social, and emotional health.

It was a busy and exciting first week for students across Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton participating in summer learning. While there is a focus on strengthening numeracy skills, the program is also about building a positive attitude around school, having fun and meeting new friends.

Grade 8 students at St. Anne’s Blenheim embraced the call to serve others through the Kingdom Assignment, finding meaningful ways to help their community.

St. Clair Catholic is making it easier than ever for families to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year by offering summer registration events across the region this August. 

Whether you’re new to the area, have recently moved to a different neighbourhood, or are exploring Catholic education for the first time, these events offer a welcoming, face-to-face opportunity to ask questions, submit documents, and ensure everything is ready for a successful September start.

The Diocese of London celebrated a historic moment on Monday as Bishop Daniel J. Miehm was formally installed as the 11th Bishop of London. His installation follows the final Mass celebrated on Sunday by the Most Rev. Ronald P. Fabbro, whose more than two decades of pastoral leadership have shaped Catholic life across southwestern Ontario.
