Celebrating Community, Diversity and Care Across St. Clair Catholic This June
Throughout June, St. Clair Catholic celebrates the people whose gifts, cultures and contributions reflect the values we share.
To begin the month, on June 1st we will celebrate Ontario Day, recognizing the diversity, unity and accomplishments of all Ontarians that shape our province. Later in the month, on June 21st, we honour National Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrating the rich cultures, contributions and heritage of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
Starting on June 2nd, the rainbow flag will fly at every school and at the Catholic Education Centre throughout the month of June as a sign of our welcoming and inclusive communities.
Through our approved Religion and Family Life programs, Blessed and Beloved / Fully Alive and Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ, we continue to guide students in understanding and living these values. By raising the rainbow flag, we affirm our commitment to accompany and care for all, especially those who may feel vulnerable, as members of God’s family.
Our Catholic faith reminds us that each person is created in the image and likeness of God and is deeply loved. We are called to live this truth through dignity, compassion and respect, and by working together to end bullying and discrimination.
At St. Clair Catholic, we remain committed throughout the entire year to fostering safe and inclusive learning environments where every student is welcomed, valued and respected. This reflects our Strategic Plan as we believe in each other, achieve together and accompany everyone with care, compassion and dignity.
