More Than $4.3 Million Approved to Enhance Safety, Accessibility, and Learning Spaces
At the May 26, 2026, Regular Board Meeting, the St. Clair Catholic District School Board approved $2.74 million in new capital projects for 2025–2026, focused on accessibility, security, and essential building renewal across several school communities.
Newly approved projects include:
· Holy Family – Accessibility and security upgrades ($292,545)
· Holy Rosary & St. Philip – Accessibility upgrades ($549,759)
· Sacred Heart Port Lambton – Partial roof replacement ($670,669)
· St. Angela Merici & St. Teresa of Calcutta – Portable installations ($351,993)
· St. Anne Sarnia – Accessibility upgrades ($594,909)
· St. Elizabeth – Accessibility and security upgrades ($283,299)
These six projects represent a combined investment of $2.74 million.
They follow the $1.59 million in capital work approved at the previous Board Meeting on April 28, 2026, which included:
· St. Anne Catholic School, Blenheim — Rear asphalt and yard improvements ($373,844)
· St. Matthew Catholic School, Sarnia — Partial roof replacement ($1,217,814)
With all eight projects combined, St. Clair Catholic’s total capital investment for 2025–2026 now exceeds $4.33 million.
These investments reflect the Board’s ongoing commitment to safe, modern, and inclusive learning environments for both current and future students and staff.
