St. Clair Catholic Celebrates New School Year with Welcome Back Mass

Students, staff, and families from across St. Clair Catholic gathered at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg on Thursday to commemorate the beginning of a new school year.

The annual Welcome Back Mass provided an opportunity for school communities to come together in faith and look ahead to an exciting year of learning and growth.

The Mass was celebrated by Board Chaplain Father Chris Pietraszko, who reflected on St. Clair Catholic's theme of Anchored in Hope, encouraging students and staff to remain grounded in faith.

During the celebration, copies of The Catholic All Year Prayer Companion: The Liturgical Year in Practice by Kendra Tierney were blessed and will be presented to new employees. Each school also received a calendar for the Liturgical Year.

Following the Mass, students, staff, and families gathered in the church, marking a wonderful start to the 2026-27 school year.
